Cultural Context
In this series of thematic illustrations, the inspiration is mainly drawn from the traditional yokai stories of the East. The relationship between non-human, nature and human trait is sometimes dramatic yet realistic.
The images were first drafted in pencil and watercolour and then transferred to digital painting for revision.
